Tools to design better learning standards. Capstone is was built to support the process of managing curriculum. Whether you are designing a completely new learning standard, or working through a routine refresh, Capstone helps you manage objectives across the entire learning standard.
Standards are built with Performance Objectives (PO's) - broad statements that describe the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that learners are expected to develop in a vocational program, and Enabling Objectives (EO's) are more detailed learning outcomes, that describe what the learner will know and/or be able to do upon successful completion of a specific module of training. Enabling Objectives support a learning in achieving Performance Objectives
Tools to build better learning programs. Design learning programs at the high level, or right down to the weekly and hourly activities of learning. Capstone features some dynamic scheduling tools to quickly design and update a syllabus.
Tools to build competency ladders. Competency Ladders represent 'crawl-walk-run" - the understanding that advanced knowledge and skills build upon more basic knowledge and skills. Capstone helps you organize your Enabling Objectives into competency ladders, which in turn can ensure that delivery of training proceeds in a logical sequence. Rather than "course prerequisites", Capstone works with knowledge and skills prerequisites
Use Capstone to "Manufacture Relevance". Relevance is a key ingredient in any learning plan. Along the journey of developing or refreshing a learning standard, it is important to engage with stakeholders, update competencies, share new ideas with instructors, and publish a view of your programs, so that prospects can evaluate the return on investment.
